In Yoder v. Sugar Grove Area Sewer Authority, (Commonwlth. Ct. PA, Jan. 5, 2018), a Pennsylvania state appellate court, in a 2-1 decision, upheld the denial of an injunction sought by an Old Order Amish couple who object to the requirement that they connect to the local sewer system using an electric pump. The dispute has wound its way through the courts for over five years. (See prior related posting.) The majority said in part:
Owners did not establish the injunction would not harm the public, or that the harm in denying the injunction outweighed the harm in granting it. We defer to the trial courts findings as to weighing the harms and the adverse effect of an injunction on the public health. After several years of litigation on multiple fronts, we recognize a strong interest in accomplishing the mandatory connection without further delay. Because there are apparently reasonable grounds for the trial courts denial of preliminary injunctive relief, we affirm.
Judge McCullough dissented, relying on the state's Religious Freedom Protection Act. She argued that the trial court wrongly placed the burden on the property owners, rather than the sewer authority, to show the least restrictive means of furthering the state's interest.

leviathan is evil
We need more Allodial Titles (for flesh and blood Citizens only) and less Administrative Law.
A clear violation of the First Amendment’s protection of freedom of religion.
Ill go with that.
Amish will have more than enough land to put in a septic system that requires no electric motor.
The sewer authority just wants another paying customer and does not want a president of someone escaping hook up.
Here in Ohio if a sewer is available you are required to hook up.
When it’s muslims who want to kill us, the libs bend over backwards to accommodate them.
When it’s Amish who just want to be left alone to farm in peace, the libs bend over backwards to harass them.
White Christians = oppressors
Thanks to the word “Islamophobe” attaching itself to the factless and irrational culture of the far left (Cultural Marxism) Muslims = oppressed
... and this despite the fact that Islamic writings take pains to talk about how white Mohammad was and even goes so far as to proscribe the death penalty if someone calls their “prophet” a black man.
Many of these nitwits probably have no clue about the endless wars of aggression, raiding and taking slaves, as well as the general disruption of commerce and civilization (especially when it comes to burning many ancient libraries) that is the true history of Islam ... but I bet they all know what Muslims and opponents of Christianity have told them about the Crusades.
After all, the defendants would be pooping and peeing in the public streets so there would be no need for fuss over their property connecting to the sewer system.
Amish usually have farms well away from we English, particularly Old Order Amish.
If Pennsylvania pays for sewers like Ohio it will cost the Amish an arm and a leg to hook up.
In Ohio the home owner pays per foot of street frontage for the sewer installation. Farms will have hundreds of feet of frontage.
Typically, it will be in the thousands of dollars per foot of frontage for sewer installation.
Most people end up getting a second mortgage if sewers come down their road.
1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
W/o full information, there is no way in hell for those reading the story to come to any sane conclusion - except for those who always jump the shark whenever they see a chance to be pissed about something - so like the "other side that they despise"...
Show me a judge in this state who’s NOT on the take or 100% in the tank for the political establishment.
