And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.(I John 5:10-21)

We cannot do a study of Satan’s War on the saints without facing the reality the Apostle John warns us of, that the Whole World lies in the power of the Wicked One.

What does this expression mean?

The ‘world’ here refers not to the earth, it refers to the way all of humanity has organized itself to the exclusion of God. Man is in flight from God and ha always sought to make for himself an Eden without repentance. Every society on this earth reflects this in different ways, whether it be the Islamic Ulema, the Hindu and Bhuddist world, the Communistic and Socialistic world or even the affluent Atheistic societies which have arisen in Europe, America and the entire western world, from the ashes of the Judeo Christian world.

The ‘World’, referred to in the greek usually as the cosmos, which means the ‘order ‘ or the’ adornment’. The ‘world’ is the ‘order of things’ , what we call the system, the way things operate, (other than in the Kingdom of God).The Cosmos is Man organizing himself without God.

As a fish wouldn’t know what water is, so we do not realize the ‘order’ around us until we are called out of it in the Gospel. All I ever knew was the Age, ‘the ways of this world”,and maturity brought us all into more ‘worldly wisdom’.

None of these things are consciously formed, humanly speaking, but there is a mind working behind and through the world, i.e. the “Prince of this World”.

Thus we are told that the World hates Christ, and will not glorify God. The World cannot receive the Holy Spirit, for it doesn’t know Him or Christ, neither does it have the love of the Father.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (John 15:18-19)

Another word often translated in the New Testament as ‘the world’ is Aion, which means “Age”. Galatians 1 tells us that “Jesus delivered us from the evils of this present Age”.

We are explicitly commanded to “Love not the World”. In order to do this we need to recognize that which is of this world, so that we can separate ourselves from it’s evil influence.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.(I John 2:15-18)

Here we learn that the “things of this World” are a fallen value system consisting of three primary values;

* The Lusts of the flesh- this is the inordinate desire to experience things, everything, on our own terms and to the exclusion of God.

*The Lusts of the eyes-this refers to the inordinate desire to have things, on our own terms and to the exclusion of God.

*The boastful pride of Life-This is the inordinate desire to be whoever we want to be, with no consideration for the will of God or no acknowledge of Him.

Remember that the serpent tempted the first couple to eat the fruit, so that they would be “as gods, knowing good and evil”. What this meant is that they would be given the power to choose for themselves what good and evil are, they wouldn’t need to rely on God or accept his Word , they themselves would decide for themselves what would be good…or evil.

This was the birth of the “Order”, and this was the commencement of “the present evil age”, an entire world, autonomous creatures, independent of the Creator, and on their own! The couple would “Adorn themselves”in a vain effort to ease the pain of their shame and sorrow. This is what it means to be worldly, to live independently of God on one’s own terms.

The World, it has been said, is “the social organism of sin and evil”, for it excludes the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The true “God” of this world is Satan himself and he hold the whole world in the power of wickedness and deceit. The World is deceived. Blind men,(Agents of Satan) are being used to guide other blind men to the pit of eternal destruction.

The “Prince of this world” has a doctrine for every kind of man, a false religion to at least give a pseudo answer to the nagging spiritual nature of fallen men. He uses the false religions of this world to do so, and he especially uses that horrible counterfeit, false Christianity to deceive millions of people into a false and unfounded satisfaction for their uneasy consciences.

All false religions are worldly, and ultimately they are demonic. They usually end up persecuting the true religion, as Cain slew Abel.For the present, “this is their hour and the power of darkness”.

The World and it’s lusts are passing away. God has already passed a sentence of judgment upon it, and his attitude toward it is uncompromising. There will be no improving the world, or making the world a better place;

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:10-13)

I have great faith in the prayers of Freepers, the people here are overwhelmingly moral, kind, brave, faithful and above all trusting in God!

Donald Trump gave up an awful lot to put himself and his family in harms way.

I thought I had seen the best world leaders possible in Pope John Paul, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan....but I was mistaken. Trump is a cut above, a man that I believe is called of God for these dangerous times.

He was an unlikely choice, a flawed man to be sure...but we are ALL flawed!

I believe Trump is a penitent man, a man who has humbled himself before God.

No matter what happens in the future. I will always be proud that I was given the privilege to vote for Donald Trump.

No matter how long I live, I will never forget what he has done and is doing for us all.
