The Vatican's Pontifical Academy of Sciences tweeted yesterday without comment a New York Times article about people using birth control to stop having children because of "climate change" fear.

The alarmist New York Times article said some people are “acutely aware that having a child is one of the costliest actions they can take environmentally” and are therefore using artificial contraception to prevent that from happening.

Pope Francis:

“Telling the story of a woman he met in a parish in Rome several months ago who had given birth to seven children via cesarean section and was pregnant with an eighth, Francis asked: ‘Does she want to leave the seven orphans?’

” ‘This is to tempt God,’ he said, adding later: ‘That is an irresponsibility.’ Catholics, the pope said, should speak of ‘responsible parenthood.’

” ‘How do we do this?’ Francis asked. ‘With dialogue. Each person with his pastor seeks how to do that responsible parenthood.’

” ‘God gives you methods to be responsible,’ he continued. ‘Some think that — excuse the word — that in order to be good Catholics we have to be like rabbits. No.’ “

There are saintly popes. There are good popes. There are bad popes. And occasionally, there are disastrous popes. God’s will be done.

Authority, thank God, is now down to the diocesan and parish level. No true Catholic can entertain these words. Not just about keeping families smaller, but the implication that families are bad. Families support communities. That’s why the globaliss hate them, to keep us all apart.

This Pope and the Vatican have obviously been co-opted by communists. Not sure yet... if it has fallen into certain formal heresy yet, but the damage is certainly there. There are questions about AL and much more still up for consideration.

Despicable words. Who are a bunch of old fags to lecture the world about family, maternity and children. One newborn brings more hope and beauty into the world than the bunch of them.

The Vatican employees need to check in with Chesterton!

G. K. Chesterton

"Surplus population"

"SCROOGE is not only as modern as Gradgrind but more modern than Gradgrind. He belongs not only to the hard times of the middle of the nineteenth century, but to the harder times of the beginning of the twentieth century; the yet harder times in which we live. Many amiable sociologists will say, as he said, "Let them die and decrease the surplus population." The improved proposal is that they should die before they are born.

"It is notable also that Dickens gives the right reply; and that with a deadly directness worthy of a much older and more subtle controversionalist. The answer to anyone who talks about the surplus population is to ask him whether he is the surplus population; or if he is not, how he knows he is not. That is the answer which the Spirit of Christmas gives to Scrooge."

~G.K. Chesterton: Introduction to A Christmas Carol. (1922)

There have been perhaps 30 or 40 Antipopes in the 2000-year history of the papacy.

An antipope is a person claiming to be Pope who was not duly elected or proclaimed while a duly elected Pope was still in office.
