It’s the mysterium iniquitatis as punishment for sin. Devotion to Our Lady of Fatima, daily rosary frequent Mass and Holy Communion will help us persevere in such dark times.
That becomes a problem when the Mass is made the occasion of sin by liturgical abuse.
Devoting yourself to "Our Lady of Fatima" and the Rosary is no worse than what the pope is doing. Both are false teachings of Roman Catholicism.
No where in Scripture are believers ever told to be devoted to an apparition or the Rosary. Both were later developments in Roman Catholicism coming at 1917 and 1569 respectively.
