The 7 deadly sins are a creation of man not God.Not so. They are, in fact, entirely Biblical.
No where in the Bible does it list 7 deadly sins.
This is partially true. They are in the Bible, just not in a single list (they appear to have been compiled first by Pope Gregory I around AD 600):
- Lust: 2 Timothy 2:22; see also Job 31:1, Matthew 5:28, Philippians 4:8, James 1:14-15, 1 Peter 2:11 and 1 John 2:16;
- Gluttony: 1 Corinthians 10:31; see also Psalm 78:17-19, Philippians 3:19-20, Proverbs 23:1-3, Proverbs 23:19-21 and 1 Corinthians 3:16-17;
- Greed: Hebrews 13:5; see also Exodus 20:17, Proverbs 11:24, Proverbs 28:25, Ecclesiastes 5:10, Philippians 4:6 and 1 Timothy 6:9-10;
- Sloth: Proverbs 6:6; see also Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 24:33-34, Romans 12:11-13, Colossians 3:23 and 2 Thessalonians 3:10;
- Wrath: Romans 12:19; see also Psalm 37:8, Proverbs 14:29, Proverbs 15:1, Ephesians 4:26-27, Colossians 3:8 and James 1:19-20;
- Envy: Proverbs 14:30; see also Job 5:2, Psalm 37:1, Proverbs 24:19-20, Ecclesiastes 4:4, Galatians 5:26 and James 3:14-16;
- Pride: Jeremias 9:23-24; see also Proverbs 8:13, Proverbs 16:18, Romans 12:16, 1 Corinthians 13:4, Galatians 6:3 and James 4:6-7.

All sins are equally bad in Gods eyes. All sins are bad, but if "all sins are equally bad" why did God himself say "Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin. (John 19:11, NASB)?
