To: Faith Presses On

Oh, I was only thinking that it seemed like a weird detail. Kind of like if the prophecy said, “Jesus will show up driving a Crosstrek.” As if, why would a vehicle’s make and model matter.

The idiom came to mind, because for the first time ever, someone was riding that particular ass. Apparently it needed riding. It struck me as funny, but I have a peculiar sense of humor.

I know what you mean that something like that can strike us as funny, but I will say I don’t think that idiom ever came to mind before when I read that passage :) I never thought about it, but the Gospels record many instances where Jesus knew things like that. I don’t think they stand out so much, though, versus other kinds of miracles and events in Jesus’ life.
