Pro-gay Jesuit Fr. James Martin will be giving two speeches at the Catholic cathedral in Chicago, and faithful Catholics will be outside the cathedral praying and protesting.
Father Martin will be speaking at Chicago's Holy Name Cathedral on Thursday, March 22, and Friday, March 23. Both events will begin at 7 PM.
Catholic organization Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) will be outside Holy Name Cathedral, praying a Rosary of reparation and protesting Fr. Martin's presence. They will be there 6–7:30 PM on Thursday, March 22.
In September 2017 after Fr. Martin had several speaking gigs canceled, the archdiocese of Chicago extended a new invitation to him. Headed by liberal Cdl. Blase Cupich, the archdiocese asked Fr. Martin to speak at a two-day Lenten Reflections event at Holy Name Cathedral.
Church Militant Resistance members plan to take part in TFP's Rosary. One Resistance member told Church Militant, "We will be there, protesting and offering a Rosary in reparation."
Jean Weymier, a local Rosary rally leader for TFP, also gave comments to Church Militant. She explained her reason for protesting Fr. Martin by citing the following quote from Pope St. Felix III: "Not to oppose error is to approve it; not to defend truth is to suppress it; to neglect to confound evil men, when we can do it, is no less a sin than to encourage them."
Weymier also wrote about those with same-sex attraction who have lived the gay lifestyle, saying the best "bridge" to get them in the Church is conversion to Christ. She said, "If they amend their lives and are contrite, they are forgiven and can live in full union with the Church. The way Fr. Martin makes it seem is that he wants to change that message, allowing people to continue living in their sin and also being accepted into the Church."
An email alert sent out by TFP asked for participants in the March 22 Rosary of reparation. It exhorted, "On Judgment Day, we don't want to have to answer to God for staying silent while young Catholics were subjected to an address by a priest who contradicts Church teaching on the crucial issue of homosexual sin."

Father Martin's talk on Thursday, March 22 will be on the subject "Encountering Jesus." According to the archdiocese of Chicago, it will be about the humanity and divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
This is an interesting choice of subject, given Martin's history of heterodox statements about Our Lord's human and divine natures. On Twitter, Martin has repeatedly suggested that Christ was ignorant of His own mission, falsely reasoning that such ignorance of spiritual matters is an essential part of "being human."
Father Martin's speech the day after that, on Friday, March 23, will be about Christ's seven last words — a set of seven Bible verses that contain the last things He said during His Passion before He expired on the Cross.
The archdiocese says that Jesus' seven last words "offer us a privileged entree [entry] into [H]is life."
It continues, "They also offer [H]im a privileged entree [entry] into our own."
Father Martin is editor-at-large at America Magazine and a consultor for the Vatican's Secretariat of Communication.
Church Militant has been warning about Fr. Martin's un-Catholic approach to homosexuality for months now. Father Martin has argued that homosexuals are not bound to chastity. He has received an award from pro-gay New Ways Ministry, an LGBTQ organization which the Holy See has explicitly condemned.
The Jesuit celebrity priest has even blasted Church teaching on homosexuality, calling it "deeply offensive" to gays.
I was a member at this Church when the very liberal Fr. Dan Mayall was the pastor......his best friend was Fr. Greeley, I think....YUK! Cardinal George made up for Fr. Mayall.
The lib Catholics think all of us are just going to do nothing as our Church is being man-handled?

Cupich, McElroy Martin and many other priests, Bishops, Archbishops and Cardinals in the US are the modern day Pharisees. It is past time to up-end their tables and throw them out of the Temple of Jesus Christ. Frauds and heretics are they.
