I know that the libs don’t want people going straight but if the person himself wants to, it’s HIS choice to go for help with it and nobody has a right to tell him no, he can’t have it.
We should pray daily for the remnant that holds to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Times will only get tougher until He comes for His Bride
....How can our LCMS church hire her?
Exactly. It is no ones business.
I sure wish all the homos would actually HOLD to their constant public protestations that its nobodys business.
If you want your LCMS chyrchvti hire a female reverend you dont know much about the LCMS
Church to hire Big fingers little keys
I do know. Frankly, I don’t much care if she was putting homos right.
And frankly, I’m a lot more conservative than many of these male pastors.
That may be but there is no place for female clergy in the LCMS. If you want female clergy feel free to join the ELCA or any of the recent splinter groups that have sprung up. Women can do good things but that does not mean they should be clergy. If you were as conservative as you say you would support that.
Oh, spare us. Every point of view but the Lord's, in His Word.
Well said. Indeed, "death to self."
Why would you want her? She DENOUNCED her own work with helping gays understand God's plan, and she blamed it on her "fundamentalist upbringing." What fundamentals were those -- the precepts of the Bible?
Geesh. All I did was say I’d hire her (based on OLD info no longer relevent). It was a joke.
I’ve been a member of LCMS for a while now. I can’t stomach what goes on at ELCA. Only problem is we’re starting to get some creep with our younger pastors.
If you REALLY want conservative, you can join LCWS.
Repeat of above:
Geesh. All I did was say I’d hire her (based on 1 sentence which I am aware is OLD info no longer relevent). It was a joke.
If the LCMS does not hold the line the WELS is my next stop. Not all the young pastors are creeping. My son will graduate and be ordained this spring. He and his classmates give me hope the LCMS will stay faithful. Sorry if you think I overreacted but I cannot stand the thought of the ELCA rot infecting the LCMS.
I don’t believe humor is permitted on religion threads.
There are still other Lutheran options.
The church I attend is LCMC.
It worked well for us as castouts from a ELCA church.

My brothers church joined the LCMC they are a little loose for me and still
allow female clergy. It may not be the case for your church but I have found the LCMC has very loose structure and is composed of a lot of churches fleeing the outright apostasy of the ELCA but were not conservative enough to join the LCMS. The female clergy is a deal breaker for me.
Good characterization of the LCMC.
I would portray the left-to-right Lutheran spectrum like this:
ELCA - LCMC - NALC - LCMS - WELS
NALC as “centrist” because of stronger episcopal oversite and accountability.
Lifelong Lutheran. I have lived through seminex, the ALC and LCA joining to form the ELCA and run off the rails. I am fortunate enough to have a son who will be ordained in the LCMS this spring as was my grandfather. The LCMS is a good place to be, if they succumb to the liberal rot then the only place left for me will be the WELS. I pray the LCMS stands strong
“It has been rejected by groups including the American Psychological Association and the American Medical Association as not only ineffective, but also psychologically harmful.”
APA, AMA: heathen, leftist monopolistic medieval-style guilds. Yeah, they have no ax to grind. (They make denominations look tame when it comes to punishing heretics.)
