I am a practicing Catholic; now my parish priest would undoubtedly say that I probably need to practice a little bit more, he joked.
Needs to practice comedy better too. The only one laughing is Satan.

Apparently denominational affiliation pretty much is meaningless. What is a Catholic? Or a Lutheran? or a Methodist?. There was a time within my memory where answers to those questions was fairly simple. No more.

Licensing of perversion. There's Gospel kindness for ya!
And you can easily bring the Author of our Faith up-to-date on this, if you will just take a few minutes and finesse the pages of the New Testament with an X-acto knife.
But I pause to remember this little warning from a few years back by a South American churchman on "same-sex marriage":
" Do not be naive: it is not a simple political struggle; it is a destructive attempt against God's plan...a 'movement' of the father of lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God." --- June 22, 2010, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, SJ, Archbishop of Buenos Aires

" . . . the God I know is one of love, compassion and understanding. In showing that to others, in standing up for the marginalised and those denied their rights . . . "
The "god" he "knows" is not the God of the Bible. And does he realize that the people now being "marginalized" are precisely those Christians who uphold traditional doctrine? Does he get it that, as some people come out of the closet, others (Christians) are being forced into the closet?

the message of the gospelHere's the REAL message of the gospel:
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. - Mark 10:6-8

He added that he had no trouble reconciling the bill with his faith.I would certainly have a problem reconciling the bill with mine. I know that sin is sin is sin, but when was the last time we saw anyone standing up for the rights, and having rallies and parades for bank robbers, or child molesters, or murderers? I wont put it as gently as he tried to. The dude is a fraud.
