Shape note singing a cappella in a Primitive Baptist Church is absolutely primal, very affecting. Rock Of Ages is a whole new experience.
I was hoping to get Up From the Grave HE Arose yesterday, but didn't get it.
However we did get 7 baptisms (in the 'proper' format) while the pastor had his shirttail out and he was wearing jeans.
Also had a LOT of new faces there (one dude with long hair - half shaved off - and dangly earrings) who heard the GOSPEL presented quite plainly and forcefully.

Quite different from the old model that had just died underneith us.
