Actually the quote you cited doesn’t say the Protestant ecclesial communion(s) “abandoned the Christian faith”, rather that the converts to the Catholic Church believe they did. It’s a subtle yet distinct difference which in my opinion would have still permitted the Caucus label.Read it again. It doesn't say the "Christian" faith, it says the Apostolic faith.
