Monsignor Pope Ping!
‘In paradise, Adam and Eve possessed preternatural gifts’
Adam and Eve...yeah, ok...

1st question.....God COMPLETED creation on the 6th day. He rested on the 7th day. There is no more creation! Only a rearrangement of what was already created. We don’t create and Satan cannot create, only God crates.
2nd question.....Everything was perfect pre sin. Sin cursed the people and the creation. The creation groans waiting for the removal of the curse. Eating a piece of fruit DOES NOT KILL THE TREE! I couldn’t believe what I was reading. There was no death in the Garden. They were vegetarians until after the Flood.( Genesis 9:3) When Adam sinned, God killed the first animal to “cover” the sins of Adam and Eve. Cain and Able also sacrificed to cover their sins. The whole Bible is based on Jesus coming to shed His blood to TAKE AWAY sins forever. Animal blood was to “cover sins”.
Is this the same guy who says there are church services in Heaven? Complete with standing, kneeling, sitting, etc?
If so, the guy is delusional. Kook city.
OK, you tell us then, what is there in Heaven? Whats Heaven rally like?
Because "rednecks" are such "despicable" creatures that we don't want to be associated with them in any way.
I don’t know. Nobody does, including you, me, and the good monseignor. However, unlike lots of folks, I freely admit it is a mystery solved only by croaking.
If someone says, “I don’t know, but it’s no doubt pretty good,” I’ll probably listen. Perhaps learn.
But if someone says there will be actual church services, with all that entails, well, that is double facepalm laughworthy, and all credibility is shot. Did he actually say that? I want to make sure I’m not laughing at the wrong guy.
If that is heaven, I don’t want to go. Had enough of that torture growing up lol.
Peace.
The need for church services will be over in Heaven. No preaching, although lots of singing and praise to God. Very few Churches understood what is was supposed to be anyway!
Smile, it will all be good! God knows!
Where are you getting that from?
In paradise, Adam and Eve possessed preternatural gifts
Adam and Eve...yeah, ok...
Don't worry. In Catholicism "Adam" and "Eve" were born to monkey parents.
Nah. He's just an evolutionist, but I think evolution is Catholic dogma anyway. Isn't it mentioned in the Nicene Creed?
Vlad....where you been ol’boy?
Busy, man. Busy.
There’s hasn’t been much in the Religion Forum that I have found all that interesting in the last few months.
I hope all is well with you and yours.
Hope you are well also.
I don’t recall those references.
?? I don’t believe your statement is valid.
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
