Most high and holy God, we praise You and give You thanks and blessings
for all the abundance You have shown us, in our daily lives
and as a nation.
We come before you with hope in our hearts because you have given us a President who cares about all Americans, rich, poor or middling, and is working steadily to correct our trade relations, bring about more jobs for working people, reduce taxes and regulations, cut the size of government, roll back regulations, and set our economy right. We ask Your blessing on these efforts, Lord.
Holy Lord, we pray that Your Grace would stand behind President Trump and all his advisors and administration, guiding their actions in harmony with Your will. Kind Father, Jesus spoke to us more words about money than any other topic except Your Kingdom, teaching us to be diligent in our work, prudent in our finances, dutiful in our tithes and taxes, wise in our relationships and yet charitable to those in need. We submit ourselves to Your guidance, Lord, so that we may be acceptable stewards of all the money, property and provision that pass through our hands, whether a little or a lot, knowing that it comes from You and belongs to You.
Help our President, we pray, to manage our national treasury so as to reduce the mountain of debt threatening to crush us. Inspire a sense of duty in the hearts of the ultra-wealthy in this nation, not to manipulate our religion or our politics, but to endow practical public needs such as basic infrastructure, pipes and conduits, roadways, bridges, transit systems, libraries, museums, parks and nature preserves. As for those who would use their great wealth to destroy our freedoms, overturn their tables and drive them out, Mighty Lord!
We are grateful, Father God, for Your protection over those of us who believe in You—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—Emanuel, Lord of all! May we guard and magnify the talents You have given us and share the gifts You have bestowed within each of us, to glorify You in all our actions and decisions.
Bring sound advice and trustworthy financial mentors alongside our precious military men and women and first responders, so that their families might live in peace while they serve. Bring jobs to the ghettos and trailer parks and projects and tent cities ad shacks, so that your servants can be dignified by work, and that the young adults can marry and provide for families. Right-size our schools, municipal budgets, universities, healthcare facilities, businesses and all key institutions of our Republic, driving out waste and corruption, we pray, for the sake of our children, elders and churches.
One day when each of us faces Judgment, may we do so with clean hearts, tidy accounts, and discharged debts, in honor of Your Son Who discharged our sins; and may we present to You a harvest of souls with whom we have shared Your Word, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
