When I was in an All Girls Catholic High School, we were taught that Catholics were obligated to vote for Kennedy simply because he was Catholic...and therefore better.

I stood up and asked about qualifications saying his religion was not just cause. I was sent to detention for being impudent.

I read Cal as meaning Christians should lay down their weapons and surrender to the Philistines, not oppose national evil by political means, and not try to make America great or godly again using politics.
