Some people will see everything as *anti-Catholicism* if what is presented is the truth and not favorable to Catholicism.

Kind of like the race card these days.

The truth about Catholicism is the truth about it.

If it doesn’t make Catholicism look good, it’s not the fault of the messenger. The RCC itself is the one to blame.

It’s THEIR history.

But instead of admitting, yes, our church did some stuff a long time ago that wasn’t right, and having some credibility and integrity in that admission, we have the see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil monkeys who turn everything into *anti-Catholic*.

I guess then, the only ones who are not anti-Catholics would be the ones who would lie about Catholicism’s history.

Interesting, that.

Thanks for reviewing my little supportive contribution to this thread. I am glad that the article was found and presented here. Getting it ready took a lot of work, and the poster is to be commended, IMHO.

It was an outstanding summary that shifted the apologetic basis away from "protesting" and moved the argument to the the theme of "reforming." Obviously, the intent was to highlight what the original Gospel was(="Jesus saves") as compared to some modern presentations that propagate another gospel of a different kind (="the Church saves"), so that the reader might begin to appreciate that the True Gospel is still available and shared.
