Steve Allen, the original host of the Tonight Show made these same arguments against the Bible and Judeo-Christian faith. Ole Steve asked rhetorically why mankind should suffer because of original sin. He failed to understand the sister doctrine of free will.
They didn’t die.
Don’t be concerned. You’ll meet Him sooner or later.
Does Duterte think he's right?
What are the odds?
What REALLY get me is that the Filipino women get themselves pregnant, then irrationally implicate men!
At least he’s read a portion of the Bible. Doesn’t seem as if the Pope has a copy.
Im laughing about this because the holier-than-thou crowd on this site worships this dictator because he slaughters drug users.
What do you think about your hero now? This should be a fun thread.
Oh did you mean that as sarcasm? Because it’s so true!
Blame the public schools! Blame Planned Parenthood! Blame the Catholic Church! Blame Duterte! Blame feminism! Blame patriarcho-Nazi oppressive biological constructs!!
Oh, heck, blame Trump!
I dunno, I can’t see this going over too well in the Phillipines. They are devout with a capital D. People actually crucify themselves during holy week. Sure, not everyone. But name another place where this happens even once, much less every year. Mocking God and the bible seems like an irrational choice.
Adam and Eve are still with us?? No.
Adam and Eve are still with us?? No.
Adam and Eve, the first people to NOT read the Apple terms and conditions.
No one is innocent in this game, but over there they are taught to play the game very early on.
Not bad! Certainly not the last.
Original sin is a Christian interpretation. Judaism does not have original sin. Since Genesis is part of the Hebrew Scriptures, one could conclude the Christian interpretation is mistaken.
This fool will find out who God is.
I thought only people who lived in trailer parks were guilty of this "offense."[/sarcasm]
If our local Fil-Am community (to which I am quite close) is any example, at least up until the last couple years* or so, a man who got involved with a woman who is a US citizen would be considerably more likely to have her attempt to “trap” him in the manner you suggest, than if he’d gotten involved with a Filipina living in RP.
Granted that most of the Filipinas in our local community were above average income (in RP) when they met their American husband. Most also now have good to quite good jobs here (many work like heck!) and are NOT really dependent on their US husbands to get by, once they’ve been here a few years.
*That caveat because I’ve been so busy with parents’ care the last couple years, I must leave the very recent past out as a data point.
Should have said “American husband-to-be”...
