I think the words spoken are truly transcribed but there is a larger story behind the words.
I really hope so.
I would agree it's asinine and crude, stupid and ugly...
Nobody is beyond redemption, even this nut...
Simon Greenleaf ping.
He asked you first........
St Thomas settled the question quite a few years back.
You cannot prove a negative.
Thats what I thought when my mother in law moved in at 70. Shes 95 and still hanging in there.
I personally have had several miracles happen in my life. I don’t need any other proof that God exists.
Calling God’s mother a bitch can’t be too pleasing to God. And I didn’t say he couldn’t be forgiven. But he will have to ask. I still say it won’t sit well with the Philippino people.
But major assumptions have to made to prove that He doesn’t. Apparently, that is not important to atheists.
He may want to watch the movie.
My favorite line : “’Philosophy is dead’ - Stephen Hawking”
You have to learn how to see without your eyes. Keep your day job buddy.
There there are providential acts, including the election of Trump over Hillary.

But being raised RC, it is no surprise that he wonders "where's the beef?"

Correct. Which is why Atheism is a belief system, ergo...a religion. Always had a wonderful time with my NYC School colleagues pointing that out to them when they would question why an intelligent guy was a believing Catholic.
I WILL REPORT LATER ...
I THINK HIS WORDS ARE TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT
THERE'S ENOUGH ENGLISH TO UNDERSTAND
it all seems to be directed at the (corrupt and hypocritical) Catholic church
Finally,
A news interview with enough English for us to understand a little more
All things considered ... Not a good move on Duterte's part
That is non-sense. In Scripture God never requires blind faith, but provides a degree of evidential warrant for believing, and which then results in more evidence.
Thus those who never heard of Christ are judged based upon the fact that external creation testifies to a creator, as does their own basic innate sense of morality, which (before defilement) in essence is corespondent to Scripture.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20)
For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) (Romans 2:14-15)
The lost are condemned due to them being sinners in not obeying the level of light they had, and in essence they have rejected Christ, the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world." (John 1:9)
Before God called Israel to follow Moses out of Egypt and into covenant with Him, He made His reality clear. As did Christ, and
he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17:31)
American biblical scholar Archibald Thomas Robertson stated that the Greek word pistis used for faith in the New Testament (over two hundred forty times), and rendered "assurance" in Acts 17:31 (KJV), is "an old verb meaning "to furnish", used regularly by Demosthenes for bringing forward evidence." (obertson, Archibald Thomas. WORD PICTURES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT. Chapter 17).
The problem with people who demand proof is that they wouldnt accept anything any one has to offer anyways.
Its always fun to ask them what kind of proof they would accept and watch their reaction.
Which means he cannot prove God does not exist, yet he needs to in the light of the evidential warrant for a Creator God, and the premise that "you cannot prove a negative" is actually fallacious.
