Wanting Muslim migrants, especially coming with a surplus of young military age men and so few others (women and children), isnt a test of faith in God but makes a dandy test for faith in secularism!

Immigration will not increase the number of Italian workers; it will increase the number of non-Italian workers in Italy (assuming that they actual work instead of living off of state largess).

If Italy shut out all the Muslims, and opened their doors to oppressed whites from Zimbabwe and South Africa, then that might do something in their favor.
Bringing in “immigrants” will just take more money from the few Italians who are still able to work. They will obviously be able to have fewer children, thus making the problem even worse.
The Vatican is not Italy. It is surrounded by Italy. Tell it to find a small island and take the “immigrants” with it.
