That is an interesting use of the term ‘receiving’.
My first inclination would be to describe someone living a life of faith as ‘someone who is giving’; giving of their devotion and of their way of life. It may simply be a matter of semantics. I suppose the essence of that idea is to perceive of our natural, God give surroundings as ‘gifts’, and to make resourceful use of these gifts, these tokens of good fortune and joy.
