You cannot begin to understand the depth of the unselfish love and grace of the Mighty God until you begin to grasp the towering rage of The God against Sin and those who participate in it willingly, man or demon.

IMHO.

Of course you certainly can understand ‘the depth of the unselfish love and grace of the Mighty God’ without grasping his rage..... as is written.....”The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, “Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love ‘therefore’ with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”........Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?”

Jeremiah 31:3 Romans 2:4

And further..... “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?”

...”And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.”

Luke 15:1-32

We are drawn to God by God,...We have this choice ‘to seek’ Him or not to seek Him... we do not have to...He gives us this freedom and free choice out of His Love.... He gives us this complete free will ‘to believe in Him’ or not believe in Him .. His Love is always out there waiting for any of His lost children...He wants us found.

‘And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself’. Jesus was lifted up on the cross so that ALL people would be drawn ‘back to God’ as we were designed for relationship with Him. He didn’t leave us we left him.

So we see God’s desire that all people have a relationship with Him....God is drawing all people to himself through the cross of Jesus.

(John 12:32)

“Go forth and multiply” ought to be enough. I think you’re nit picking to try to prove something that even Paul doesn’t — and Paul shows it by dividing his argument between gentile and Jewish.

Cool your jets.

“I think you’re nit picking to try to prove something that even Paul doesn’t — and Paul shows it by dividing his argument between gentile and Jewish.”

The reason Paul makes the Jewish and Gentile distinctions is because he is addressing the church of Rome. Paul did not found this church. Some were saying Paul was afraid to preach in Rome. Some questioned whether he would have an impact in Rome as he had in other cities, as they considered Rome a much more challenging place to be as Christians.

Claudius made all of the Jews leave Rome in 49 A.D. See Acts 18:1-2 for more info. They were allowed to return after Claudius died in 54 A.D. The book of Romans was written as Christian Jews were starting to return to Rome and were struggling to assimilate into what had become a predominantly Gentile church. Paul was not merely thinking about how to “divide” Scriptures along the Jewish and Gentile lines for the sake of posterity.

There is a false Gospel—a “gospel of Satan—designed to imitate the true Gospel. Satan mimics God. He has false prophets, false teachers, false signs and wonders, false-christs, and false gospels. The purpose of the false gospels, as Jesus described when He taught about the “enemy” who sowed tares, is to generate children of Satan from this world who are opposed to the children of God who believe the true message of salvation. These children of the Devil are most frequently found in real Christian churches, having a destructive influence from the inside, and hindering others from salvation.

This is why it is not “nitpicking” to address critical elements of the Gospel message and the process of salvation. If you’ve had any children, you would not complain if the attending physician strongly asserted the importance that he and his staff all have thoroughly washed their hands before participating in the delivery of your baby. The consequence of not following correct procedure could be very harmful.

Of course, the difference is much greater when comparing the true Gospel with Satan’s counterfeits. It is a night and day difference. One produces children of God. The other produces children of the Devil.

Don’t misunderstand me as if I am accusing you of this. I’m simply asserting that this is no trivial matter. I don’t particularly like to advocate the message of God’s wrath. It’s not popular. Sharing it is not a way to win friends and influence people (for pleasing people). But it is something people need to know. And when those who dislike the message decide to attack it (again, not accusing you) then it must be defended.

Paul’s definition of the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15 contains the phrase “according to the Scriptures” twice. The Scriptures that had been written up to this point were primarily the Old Testament, which is what is being referred to here. Certainly the New Testament gives confirming support, but this was more related to the eye-witness testimony also referred to in the same passage. Paul uses the Law lawfully. He uses it to show ALL people, before coming to Christ, are under wrath because we have ALL sinned. He does not use it as the means of salvation but as the way for unbelievers to understand why they need salvation. Those who have not yet accepted the grace of God for salvation in Christ are under the judgment of the Law:

Romans 3:19-20
[emphasis added where all caps are used]

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that...

EVERY mouth may be stopped, and...

ALL THE WORLD may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law...

NO flesh will be justified in His sight, for...

BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.

You can shout all you want and still not realize that people are held accountable to the law that is given to them.

Some fundamentalists are no fun, all damn, and very little mental.

“people are held accountable to the law that is given to them”

Agreed.

Luke 12:48
But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

Romans 2:14-16
For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them, in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
