It’s a real poverty when a person views instruction from the pulpit as a “staffing” problem and not a time to search their own heart.

The Catholic church is perfectly Catholic.

I notice that there is no mention of a husband/father.
I cannot say for sure as there is not enough data in the article, but if there is no husband/father, could it be because the author also does not know what it is like to be a woman.

“My family and I are all pro-Jesus”
“when the new priest was conducting services, my daughter and I both flinched when he spoke of “traditional” marriage, which can “only be between a man and woman.”
“We talked about what to do when our personal beliefs don’t match up with what someone in authority says we should do.”
Like Jesus?
This is a (Pro Jesus?) woman who probably doesn’t read the Bible because she doesn’t like what it has to say and has allowed other people to tell her how to think.

a staff writer for Salon and self-proclaimed Catholic, doesnt know how she can be Catholic anymore. Fine. Quit lying about being Catholic ... go find the "First Church of Baby-killing and Faggotry". You'll be right at home.

Although most people wrongly equate religion with the word of God so many believe religion is just a man made thing no different than the moose or elks club.
Even in circles where people are more informed people will not take the Bible serious they will lie as fast as a fox can trot to make it seem to say what they want it to say.
That is why i believe the Catholic Church is the mother of harlots and the protestants are are her daughters.
