I’m sure from a social psychology, group dynamics, human weakness, power viewpoint only. God could overcome all this human perversity in a flash. So I’m sure, except for a miraculous intervention.
The reason I doubt God will sweep in is my experience with this pervert-priest stuff. I have family going back to 1930’s who are abuse victims, young males, same story as today. I know idealistic young men who fled the seminary in horror. I had 3 priests in my family, and other connections.
The Catholic Church is a closed gay club. I could see this in the 70’s but now GAY is the ideal in the culture, it’s open. What pulpit or bulletin does not praise “LBGT”? Our Church is not struggling with gay, it’s embracing it. We are the last on earth. From the pope on down, all open praise for gays. The battle is lost.
