I agree, but my point was that, if you do give in to the flesh, you can make the choice to give in at the least harmful point instead of the most harmful point.

The least harmful point is resistance to temptation.
With respect to adultery, Jesus said it was better to cut off one's hand or pluck out one's eye than have the whole body cast into hell. The Apostle Paul wrote confirming that those committing sexual sins shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
