While I laugh at that one, I find it slightly overstated - there are a fair number of lawyers who are decent people. Change “lawyers” to pedophile priests, and that joke would not bother me one bit.

The story of Fr. Harrington is a good example of why not every priest accused of child molestation should be assumed to be guilty without trial. (The correct legal standard, of course, is "innocent until proven guilty".)

The real molesters, who aren't above molesting children after all, also aren't above slandering and defaming good and decent men to protect themselves.
