Mueller brought this up in his letter rebuking Deters, writing, "I am disappointed, embarrassed and scandalized that you, not only a Catholic but also a fellow alumnus of St. Xavier High School, have used the platform of your public office to oppose and confuse the moral teaching of the Church in so open a fashion." It would do him well if Mueller did a little research on St. Francis Xavier before he starts condemning captial punishment.

Just inadmissible.
Maybe even inappropriate.

Forget it! He is a Jesuit and they always overdo everything. It is not a sin to protect the people you have swarn to protect. The idea that the death penalty is something that the Church theologians have accepted for 2,000 years. Suddenly a Jesuit liberal uses his personal feelings to declare it is wrong. It is not!
