I'm thinking it might be more effective for all of us to start a grassroots-level lay movement, where everyone agrees to divert all tithes/offerings/CSA money/etc. from the collection baskets, to some other worthy cause or organization, external to the official USCCB/diocesan coffers, and stop their money flow completely, until they begin to do something real, concrete, and effective to correct this filthy, stinking, rotten mess, and expel all the rotten apples, at all levels of the hierarchy.

Not a bad idea. Especially in the dioceses/archdioceses in which they offending bishops/archbishops seemed/seem to prosper.

It is Christ’s Church and all of us are the Body of Christ. It is not the church of Bishops, they will eventually die. They will face God’s judgement.

The role of the Church is to lead us to Heaven. Even Jesus told us to follow the teachings of the Pharisees, but not their example. We must be careful to avoid false prophets and their tendency to follow the ways of the world and not Christ.

We need to support the righteous men and women and clergy of the Catholic Church (including financial support). If we do not, then more souls may be lost to the devil.

We need to pray, ask for St Michael, the Archangel to defend the Church, and to stand firm with Christ and the Body of Christ for righteousness.

Christ promised that the Church will last until the end of time. This is just one test for the Church, one of many over the centuries. Keep your lamp lit, Jesus will come again.
