I will post this video again from Fr. Mike Schmitt as I feel is the most heartfelt appeal I have ever seen from the Magisterium. 16 minutes but worth it. God bless:

I watched the video and heard the passion in the good father's voice. I do so wish he would have devoted more time focusing on what this continuing horror is doing to the church and to the good and holy people of the clergy than to his unfounded concern over "virtue signalling". I must add that I found Father Schmitt's lack of understanding about why members of his parish wanted him -- in fact, expected him -- to deliver his message of condemnation to them on a very personal level. I would expect to hear such a message from my parish priest -- a message of condemnation not only as to the actions of the monsters exposed by the Philadelphia grand jury, but also a rebuke of the Church hierarchy/leadership for whatever they did or whatever they didn't do to prevent this from happening (again!). It took a group of laypeople -- the grand jury -- to discover and reveal this latest horror.

I admit I was surprised at Father Schmitt's comment that he was unaware of any of these attrocities happening in the Church -- a statement I simply find hard to believe. Surely he has heard -- as have all of us -- the stories and have read the histories of these atrocities, and of the efforts to cover them up. I can understand that something like this may simply be just too horrible for him to consider much less accept as fact, but it's good men like him along with thousands of others in the clergy who must apply strong, persistent pressure on the Church hierarchy to do whatever they must do -- whatever they must do -- to prevent this from ever happening again -- that their failure to do so is completely unacceptable and is causing severe damage to the Church -- the Church which is so desperately needed to combat the powerful secular religion of Leftism that is expanding rapidly throughout the world.

I appreciate your indulgence of my heartfelt thoughts from this layperson who is concerned deeply about the Church.
