Kudos to Father Raymond de Souza, who noticed something that the rest of us had missed. In a Catholic Herald column, Father de Souza explains how the release of the Vigano testimony affects the US bishops plans:
The American bishops have already asked Pope Francis to appoint an apostolic visitor to investigate the entire McCarrick matter. It is likely that the visitor, when appointed, would have interviewed Viganò in any case. His testimony will now be part of the material that the visitor must examine. Viganò has not provided documentation to support his charges, but has indicated where that documentation could be foundmemoranda that he wrote, conversations that he hadwith dates and places. An apostolic visitor, with investigative authority from the Holy Father, will have no trouble obtaining that documentation to see if it supports the charges Viganò has made.
Just let me suggest a slight revision of the last sentence there: the apostolic visitor would have no trouble obtaining documentsif an apostolic visitor were appointed. But to date, there has been no response from the Vatican to the request from Cardinal DiNardo made two weeks ago and repeated this weekfor a visitation.
I am eager for an audience with the Holy Father to earn his support for our plan of action, Cardinal DiNardo said this week, hinting that he might be a bit impatient for an answer. It would be easy enough for the Pope to say that he will organize an apostolic visitation, even if the process didnt begin right away. These things arent organized overnight. The announcement of a plan would be a clear sign that things were moving in the right direction. To date, however, the Vatican has given no such sign.
So now, in the aftermath of the Vigano testimonyand Father de Souzas astute observation ---is it more or less likely that an apostolic visitation will be ordered? That might depend upon how anxious Pope Francis is to uncover the truth about Viganos charges.
How do you know? Do you know someone?
They can shred their files. But not all the copies of the non-disclosure agreements that have been signed over the years. Unless only the church got to keep a copy. If so....
I recall a few things that sort of click together.
Vigano, in his letter, wrote that he was puzzled that Pope Francis equated homosexual with being politically leftist.
I began the conversation, asking the Pope what he intended to say to me with the words he had addressed to me when I greeted him the previous Friday. And the Pope, in a very different, friendly, almost affectionate tone, said to me: “Yes, the Bishops in the United States must not be ideologized, they must not be right-wing like the Archbishop of Philadelphia, (the Pope did not give me the name of the Archbishop) they must be shepherds; and they must not be left-wing — and he added, raising both arms — and when I say left-wing I mean homosexual.” Of course, the logic of the correlation between being left-wing and being homosexual escaped me, but I added nothing else.
Pope Francis has been an admirer of Communists as being morally correct.
He made the comments after being asked about a blog post in the Economist magazine that said he sounded like a Leninist when he criticised capitalism and called for radical economic reform. Citing Biblical passages about the need to help the poor, the sick and the needy, the Pope said: ”Communists say that all this is communism. Sure, twenty centuries later. So when they speak, one can say to them: 'but then you are Christian'.”
I think, the world over, Communists are considered leftists.
It means the Evangelical churches will be attacked next.
Things now has gone digital.
Unless it has gone digital.
I can’t believe they’d be dumb enough to digitize this stuff.
I have no inside information.
But I’m not stupid (although many would debate that).
If the Vatican is in control of the documents, and the documents incriminate them, why wouldn’t they shred them? Who’s going to stop them?
Doesn’t matter. They’ll delete the evidence.
That might depend upon how anxious Pope Francis is to uncover the truth about Viganos charges
Is that a joke? If anybody knows the truth, its him.
If I am not mistaken, all documents are numbered, which means that gaps will be readily evident.
——It means the Evangelical churches will be attacked next.——
The RCC isn’t being attacked, they are being exposed...
Evangelical churches I am sure have their share of homosexual members and some in leadership positions who sexually abuse church members but it’s not a systematic problem by in large...
Certainly there are very few evangelical pastors and ministers who have covered up sexual abuse of any kind...but pales in comparison to on going events...
I've never read thriller/intrigue/spy/crime/suspense stuff, so I would be the last person in the world to be able to connect the dots.
The upshot seems to be that Benedict is a good man, a clean man, a man of intellect and faith, surrounded by wolves.
But still, why did he resign? Why not shout the truth and die on his feet? And why is he silent even now?
I have my theory. But I gotta stop here before I get into the tinfoil triple tiara stuff.
Seriously, pray. Divine intervention is desperately needed here, and Vigano is ripping off the lid.
We have a Federal Bureau of Corruption and Witch-hunts. I wouldn't trust it to investigate the alleged mismanagement of a child's lemonade stand.
Next? Where have you been the last century?
One minute we're told the Catholic Church is the most intellectually respectable, rational, scientific religion out there. The next we're told they're the ultimate politically incorrect religion and target number one of the big, bad liberals--the same liberals whose anti-rural American rhetoric "conservative" Catholics are all too eager to repeat at any opportunity.
In 1925 H.L. Mencken, that Great Hero of Proud White Palaeoconservatives everywhere referred to Fundamentalist Protestants (the white ones at least; the Black ones for some reason don't count) as "gaping primates who believe degraded nonsense." Where was the Catholic Church when an entire ethno-cultural group was being slandered by a right wing bigot?
The cover up may not be perfect, but it will provide a fig leaf for the homocleric demonocracy to persuade their allies in the satanic secular press than Archbishop Vigano’s charges are not proven, and therefore, are proven false.
The laity are not prepared to force the needed purge. Many are sodomosympathizers, and will believe anything to return to the status quo ante mccarrick/Archbishop Vigano.
Therefore, the needed united economic starvation of the homoclergy won’t happen. And things will return to the status quo.
Is there even such a thing called Bleach Bit at all?
That is why it has to start with the AG’S on the state level.
