My favorite chapter of proverbs! When I was a feminist back-in-the-day, I assumed that the Bible was sexist. Then a brother in Christ read this Scripture out loud to me and it opened my heart to Christ.
It resonated with me.
Ever notice in the Sermon on the Mound how Christ said,
““If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell, and if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:29-30
Why did he not add, “If your ears causes you to sin?
Because the ear is a passive member of your body. It cannot be the fault of your falling away in and of it’s own volition.
Liberal politicians, and liberal preachers can get you to buy into anything on television, but they can’t give away water on the radio. That is why liberals dominate the big screen and television, but conservative preachers and conservative politicians dominate the radio.
Your heard the truth spoken to you by another who spoke the truth, and your ears cannot lie to you when there is no gimmick to confuse your eyes.
