VATICAN CITY — Pope Francis wants concrete action to combat the “emergency” of plastics littering seas and oceans.
Francis made the appeal in a message Saturday to galvanize Christians and others to work to save what he hails as the “marvelous,” God-given gift of the “great waters and all they contain.”
He said efforts to fight plastics litter must be waged “as if everything depended on us.”

Jesus would want us to use paper straws. Its right there in the magisterium. Separate your glass, plastics, and paper waste and you will have eternal life.
This is a church that has been completely hijacked. Remember, this pope was elected by a majority of the cardinals, after those same cardinals overthrew Benedict. The body of believing Christian catholics need to shuck off these parasites once and for all.

No offense to anybody’s strong religious faiths, but I wish this guy would keep his little Pope hat out of scientific and environmental issues and go back to worrying about birth control and eating fishsticks on Friday, the way popes did when I was a kid.
