Legal jeopardy involved.
I would advise no disclosure as well - distasteful as it is.

I think I will wait and see if “National Catholic Register” succeeds.

‘Are you Catholic?’

just a wild guess on my part, but I’d say no...

My guess, too. But that would mean the poster is in violation of caucus rules, and I don’t like to think I’ll of people.

I’d give the devil the benefit of law for my own sake.
Lawyer saints have lost their heads. I’ll keep mine attached as long as there proves no other way. We all should.

Does being born into the Catholic Church, being baptized as a baby, going through Fist Communion and then Confirmation before realizing that the Church wasn't giving one what one needed count as being Catholic?

Just curious...never sent in a resignation letter but haven't been to a Catholic Church in decades (except a few weddings and funerals).

I understand if there are circumstances where you physically can’t make Mass. I don’t always make Mass, as I’m disabled now, and I’m not always up for it. I can’t kneel, prolonged standing is difficult, sitting on hard wood for an hour is difficult on days I’m doing well, I’m generally in continuous discomfort. But as I’ve recovered from being mostly dead, I find that I’m able to make it more and more.

Besides trying for basic Mass attendance, I believe absolutely in the Nicene Creed, the sacraments, transubstantiation, that Jesus founded the Holy Catholic Church on Peter and his successors, and that the current hierarchy of the Church is legitimate, although currently, extremely corrupt.

I pray to God, ask Mary and all the saints for their intercession, brought my children up in Catholic Faith, and pray that my children transmit Catholic Faith to their children. I believe in Purgatory for souls who die in friendship with God, but who still have attachments to sin.

How about you?

I believe Jesus died for all our sins, past/present/future, and if we go to Him and let Him know we realize we could never be worthy on our own, and ask Him to be our Lord and savior, we are saved.

I believe Jesus walked the Earth as a man to help us develop a personal relationship with our God and that His sacrifice is enough.

I believe that teachers of The Word need not be all dressed up in fine/flashy regalia and that the venue for the teaching need not be a garish display of opulence designed to inspire feelings that may detract from the teaching - which should always have something about Jesus no matter what part of the Bible is being discussed/studied at the time.

I believe that when we elevate our teachers/elders to their own personal sainthood, and they accept that reverence, they have been reduced to being like the pharisees Jesus castigated for putting on the Ritz which was mainly an act to inspire such feelings in pothers.

I believe that Jesus gave us a direct path to God and that when we pray to dead mortals we dishonor Him in the worst way - even as bad as worshiping false idols.

I believe that thinking someone desecrated something because an idiot destroyed physical [property/statuary is a sign that one doesn't really believe that their God cannot be tainted/desecrated by any mere mortal...it's just stuff to symbolize something too great to even be imagined...buildings that used to be churches are also just old buildings and not something sacred which need to have some mortal say words and perform rites to "de-sanctify" it.

I believe that mortal priests, who we all know can even be pedophile child abusers, do not have the ability to actually make transubstantiation happen and that Jesus meant for us to honor Him by thanking Him for the nourishment He gave our souls even as we partook in the earthly nourishment that fed our bodies - no mortal can deny another the opportunity to so commune with his God - especially with the absurd claim that he is not clean/pure enough to do so....they forget what they really are and no matter what rituals they go through before hand does not make them an iota purer than any other mortal - else none of them would be pedophile child abusers (I use this example merely to demonstrate that priest are just faulty humans like the rest of us and have no special powers.

I believe Jesus is enough to get us to heaven and anyone who believes they need a priest to make that happen is delusional.

O believe religion in and of itself is inherently sinful because all religions preach crap that is not Biblical and expect people to do/be something they are not in order to become more worthy...when He has made us worthy because we beseeched Him to accept us under His loving care.

THat's a bit of what I believe and while I can respect the lives/actions of dead mortals, i cannot elevate them as something I can pray to when I have a direct path to my God because He stepped out of Heaven and walked among men who He called 'friends" and then let Himself be sacrificed by sinners that all sinners might be saved if they only acknowledge Him.
