“Piper’s fixation on these matters”
Nothing weird about it. He was asked a question on this matter.
Piper spends an undue amount of time on the private lives of couples. And zones in particularly on non-essentials that should be between the husband, wife, and God.
He is also unduly judgmental about Christian wives and mothers in particular- especially those who choose to work or get an education — and on single women who aren’t missionaries.
Biblical women in ancient Israel did not live according to his dictates either.
And in trying to be politically correct about racial issues in the church, he only further exposes his own lingering prejudices.
I appreciate that he is a proponent of interracial adoption, and is the loving father of a black child...but he should deal with his own problematic heart before condemning men like Trump for racism. (And from my vantage, Trump is hardly the racist or sexist by comparison to Piper’s own issues.)
