The church and the Gospel it proclaims are what is needed for salvation. That is far more important to those who do no know God than anything else the church has to offer. The rest can come with help and love. Really how can one know the state they are in without the conviction of the Holy Spirit? Telling them something that differs to the conviction laid on their heart because of sin will not help and is more likely to cause them fractious internal issues!
