God Most High,
Exalted and Glorious,
Beyond Our Power To Imagine!
The Earth is Yours,
And All it Contains,
There is Nothing We Can Give You
That You Don't Already Own.
You Tell us plainly What is required of Us,
And Look at the heart.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.



We Pray For The Leaders of Our Nation,
May They Be Inspired and Led By You,
And Please Guide Them in All Things.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Lovely Little Island of Kauai, one of the westernmost islands of the State of Hawaii, has a feral chicken problem. Who knows where these chickens came from? Perhaps the original inhabitants of the Island, the Menehune, brought them in canoes? Or maybe the Polynesians who settled there 1000 years ago after their long sail from Tahiti? Or perhaps Missionaries brought them and they escaped the farms, only to breed happily in the rain forest, free from predators like mountain lions or wolves? Whatever the reason, they are everywhere strutting around parking lots and back yards like they own the place. The cocky and attractive red rooster has become the symbol of Kauai. He is emblazoned on T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs, Bumper Stickers and other memorabilia. They even survived the CAT 5 Hurricane Iniki in 1992. "Nobody messes wid dem cheekins."

The "cheekins" are quite charming and amusing for the tourists when they see them on their first day in Kauai. But, a few hours later, at 4:00AM, these unfortunate city folks who are trying to sleep off a 12 hour flight from New York are suddenly awakened with the crowing of the twenty-or-so roosters who are walking around the grounds of their hotel. It is the ULTIMATE "Wake-up-call".

On my 13th visit to Kauai, I was in a little restaurant in Kapa'a, and ordered a chicken sandwich. The waitress told me that "Due to a shortage of chicken on Kauai, the sandwich would be $2.00 more".

"Shortage of chickens?" I blurted out. "How can their be a shortage of chickens on Kauai?"

"Those are the 'CHEEKINS", the waitress replied. "We don't eat THEM! I'm talking about Chicken. You know...the meat."

The New York Tourists didn't have a clue about the "Wake-Up-Call" that had them spring from their beds at 4:00AM and complaining to the Management. I imagine the Manager of the Hotel just shrugged his shoulders and said "It's just the cheekins. You on Kauai. We got cheekins." It is what it is.

Peter, on the other hand, heard the cock crow and everything became clear to him. He had denied his LORD three times. To people who knew it was a lie. With a curse and an oath. It was what it was. It was an instant fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy just given to him a few hours earlier. How could he even live with himself after that?

We know Peter will be forgiven and reinstated, but at the time, he did not. How awful that must have been!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
