Uh, but he also clearly said it’s better to be celibate. So, the order of sexual righteousness is:
1) celibacy
2) married sex
3) all else - i.e., our modern sexual obsessions, excusing shack-ups and ANY extra-marital sex is sinful and at the bottom of the barrel
Then why did God create sex to begin with.
It was HIS idea, you know.
Sexual righteousness is married sex. Celibacy does not come before it as God said that it was NOT GOOD for man to be alone.
If celibacy were preferred then God had no business creating something he would later deem unfit for man.
Catholicism by its teachings and practices and unscriptural restrictions, has judged as wrong something God said was good and blessed.
Yes it is, if one can handle it. The vast majority of us CANT handle it. I think marriage should be used as a means to control our passions, not as an unbridled vent for them. I am not sure if Paul was married previously. Its possible he was, since he was in the Sanhedrin, but I dont know for sure.
