And you have hit on exactly the reason why I am a lifelong bachelor at 61.
I’ve seen too many decent guys stabbed in the back by their wives, who evidently got bored and thought the grass was greener.
Marriage has become a voidable civil contract. I was brought up to believe it was a solemn covenant before God.
Silly me ...
.....”I was brought up to believe it was a solemn covenant before God”.....
It still is.....that has not changed...but so many today marry without it and without God. Which is why there are so many who don’t make it.....Also it takes two to make that promise...takes only one to break it..and the other party can’t always fix it if one or the other isn’t willing to.
I also think if ones relationship with God isn’t maintained that leaves open all sorts of openings to distract and or disrupt the relationship between the husband and wife.
And we all know that men NEVER cheat on their wives, never beat them, never abandon them, right?
They are all paragons of virtue and victims of feminism.
Adam would be proud. It was all Eve’s fault, too.
