Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head;

Please keep all those who suffered, and still are suffering, from the deadly Camp fire.
Just to clear things up, the fire is called the "Camp Fire", due to the fact it started in
a place named Camp. Not because it started from a campfire. The cause of the fire was a PG&E
power line which was downed by 60 mph winds. It was those high winds that fueled the fire which
became like a torch going through town. The place it started was down in a ravine below
the outer edge of Paradise. Where many of the elderly lived, and thus the highest death
count will be the elderly. There are still over 1000 people still missing. Some are my friends.


For the first dew days of the fire, we were not sure if we would also lose our home,
since at one point we were but 6 miles as the crow flies from the fire.
The Lord is good, He spared us by not changing the direction of the wind.
I personally have dozens of good friends who have lost everything. Chico
and Paradise are not places you drive by on your way elsewhere, because we
are 35 miles West from I-5 near and in the foothills. So if you come this way
you mean to come this way. Everyone knows people in Paradise, and many of us even
have relatives who lived there. I have yet to meet anyone who is not devastated
by someone close to them who is now suffering. Maybe a few new Freshman College
students, but even they will eventually meet someone from Paradise. We are a
community that is so intertwined together, that losing so many in Paradise is
like losing an arm or a leg. Something you will never forget, and always grieve over.

I still have friends I have not heard from since before the fire started.
After we knew our home was safe, I hit the road and drove around the
makeshift shelters in Chico. I wanted to see if I could find friends I have
not heard from since before the fire started. Eventually one friend learned
I was looking for him and he contacted me. His house was saved, but his story
of escape from Paradise rivals the stories I have been hearing form many who
almost perished in the fire. Those stories will forever be a part of my memory
of the fire that went through Paradise with a vengeance like a torch. My heart
grieves heavily for the suffering my good friends and others are going through.

We will pick up the pieces and rebuild, but my wife and I have decided to leave
California next year. I have no reason to believe that the leaders of this state
will ever do anything that is good for the people. I am telling my friends to sue
the state, since these fires are a creation of the bad Forest Management policies
of the leftists leaders of this state.

Dear Lord, my Father in heaven I am humbled like never before, and my grieving heart pleads that You will comfort the many who are now without anything. It's as if the calamities that befell Job has visited so many who are now the victims of the fires which rage constantly in the West. Lord, only Yu can know the future of those who are faced with trying to rebuild their lives, and Only You can ensure they will be restored as job was. I pray that the hearts and minds of those in great need have them on You so their blessings will be maximized. We know You do not promise anything other than the needs to be met. OH Lord, looking at their plight, I can see that so many only wish for their needs to be met.

Lord, please bless the brave firemen who risked their very life to save so many in danger, the medical doctors and nurses who went out of their way to do what they did to help so many at Feather river hospital. Lord, bless the police who moved quickly to become to evacuate all those who needed to get out of harms way, they did an admiral job of moving people without creating needed problems for those who may not have been as polite back to them as they fled everything they through a firestorm that was catching some vehicles on fire as they drove.

Dear Lord, so few around the World even realize that the Firemen, Doctors, Nurses, and Police did their job, even though many of them were unsure of the safety of their own home and families. Lord, it is this unselfish dedication that makes our society work so well in the face of so many disasters.

Lord, the President will come by this weekend and view the devastation, and while I would love to see him, I know I will not. He is a man with much on his plate, and yet I know his heart truly is grieved for those who lost all. Lord I pray his wisdom and understanding can break through the cloud of politics and for once we can change the misguided way the ruling party's of the Western states will see the error of their Forest Management ways.

Lord, we all pray for the soldiers being deployed at the Mexican/American border, as they help stem the tide of the invasion that would destroy the greatest country in the history of the World. Lord, it seems we are fighting a losing battle as the left continually fight to make evil good and good evil. Lord, guide us all, and h so we will make wise decisions for our families. Help my fellow brothers and sister afford to send their children to a private school that is not indoctrination them into the evil ways of the World. Lord, Help us shut down the public school system so that we can stop all America children from being indoctrinated.

OH Lord, we do pray for the teachers and professors to all have a come to Jesus moment and realize the truth is in You and through You all can be made right. We pray for the many good teachers in the nation who try their best to teach what is right. So many of them are being attacked and fired for doing what is right in Your eyes. Lord, the end is near, and we see it unfolding right before out eyes in the way the children are being indoctrinated to accept the way of the Beast.

Lord, forgive us for our anger at times. Forgive us for put hard hardheadedness that more times than not alienates people from us when we should be drawing them in to hear the truth. Lord, guide us and protect us from our selves as much as You do from others. I see Paradise is lost, and but for Your Grace Lord, there go we.

Lord, we pray for all the newly elected officials and those reelected recently. We pray they all have a come to Jesus moment and wake up with clarity of what is right and what is wrong. Lord we pray that President Trump gets the help he needs and that those who would do evil by the people of this great country will find themselves speechless when they want to obfuscate and lie about the things our President as attempting to accomplish.

Forgive my many errors in my prayer. The last week has been much to handle, and I often times find myself crying all of a sudden. I have never in my life been so close to so much tragedy. I never had so many I knew go through so much in such a short time.

Many friends not only lost their homes, but some lost family members. They also lost their jobs, because over 300 businesses were destroyed. So now they have no job to return to.

Some friends were retired and barely making ends meet as it was. Now they are retired, no home, no possessions. Plus at their age, many have no hope of rebuilding since they would need a job and no one is hiring the elderly. Trust me I know.

One friend of mine lost his mother 2 weeks ago. He had his whole family in town for the funeral when the fire started. He was lucky in that they were able to get help in getting many things pout, but so many have only memories left of what they had.

A friend left for work at 6:30 am, he saw the smoke and then the fire. He went back home to get his wife, and they ended up driving up the hill to get away, then around a different way to come back to Chico. He drove 7 hours to avoid the fire as they evacuated. He was blessed, his house was saved, but his neighbors house was lost.

A young women left with her father, but he went back in the house to get something. While she was waiting the roof collapsed with him in the house. She had to walk down the road, because the fire had melted the tires on her car. She was eventually picked up by a stranger fleeing the town. She lost everything, even her father.

Thank you for your Spirit-led prayer and heart-felt description of the plight of those affected by the fire. It is truly a devastating moment in our nation’s history. In the wake of tragedy we know that God is in control and hears the prayers of His people. We need only to remind ourselves that life on this earth is but a vapor . . .we are only here for a little while. Let this tragic fire be an opportunity for Christians to witness
