(Luke 17:1-3) Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves.
(1 Thessalonians 4:7-9) For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God Who gives you His Holy Spirit.
(1 Thessalonians 5: 5) Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
(Hebrews 10:30-31) For we know Him Who said, “It is Mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the Hands of the Living God.
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the Master King, Ruler of Everything, Lord of All,
We come before You with heavy hearts for the state of our country. This is not what You had in mind for America. Choices have not been Your choices for the Church, family, and government. No longer can the Church be counted on to provide the true Scriptural Authority to its congregants. We’ve heard time and again “so goes the family so goes the nation”, but at this critical time in our nation’s history, it is the Church that is leading its flock into an abyss of social mores that are not in keeping with Your inerrant Word. Lord, we need help . . .a shaking of the denominations across this land . . .a Holy-Spirit-led revival that will spark a return to the Church’s First Love. . .Your Precious Son, Jesus Christ.
Many children of our country are lost not having been fed the Word. We pray for good parenting that realizes the importance of and takes action in putting You FIRST in the home. The media and education have done a grievous injustice to the youth of America. Heavenly Father, shake these institutions of our society to the point that they are falling on their knees in repentance for what they have done to the minds of the innocent.
In the Name of Jesus, we come against anything that will weaken our nation’s defense of its people including the invasion by those who wish to storm our borders and cause chaos and destruction. Please give our military and other forces of defense the power, strategy, and protection to stop this malfeasance.
Father God, You know that we are also at a point where principles of our Founders are being disregarded and are being replaced with man-ordained laws usurping and undermining the very Authority of Your Word. We pray for Your Guidance to continually fall on our President and Vice-President and those in leadership positions. The courts are doing a disservice legislating from the bench with decisions that are not in the best interest of the citizens of our country. We pray that You will mightily come against those who are overtly and covertly trying to instill an anti-God way of living in America. Please protect those who have made the decision to follow You no matter the cost.
We pray for those who have been afflicted by the fires, persecution, sex-trafficking, and other maladies. Removed from the headlines or never placed there to begin with, they are too soon forgotten. Please place people in their paths that will testify to Your Love and Salvation.
We pray for Israel, Your Chosen People and their Leaders . . .we are grateful to President Trump for acknowledging Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordering the US Embassy to be moved there. There is an anti-Semitic spirit that exists in our nation that has to be a stench to You. Please rid this country of those who would cause such evil dissuasion.
We ask that You make divine appointments for us each day and equip us with the Words and deeds that will make a difference in people’s lives. You are the Answer to EVERYTHING. We give thanks to You for an All-Powerful, All-Knowing, Ever-Presence in our lives.
We know not the hour of Your Son’s return. May You find us always faithful, always giving testimony. We petition this prayer to You in the Precious Name of Jesus. Amen
