The cardinal compared the World Over host to 'Ian Paisley and his ilk'
Cardinal Wilfrid Napier has denounced Catholic broadcaster Raymond Arroyo, comparing him to Ulster Protestant leader Ian Paisley.
In a tweet, the cardinal said Arroyos show The World Over was like a throwback to the 1960s & 70s when radical Protestants fulminated against [the] Catholic Faith in general, & [the] Pope in particular!
Raymond Arroyo has achieved prominence with his weekly EWTN talk show, which takes a largely conservative line and has been critical of Pope Francis and his allies.
His interview with Bishop Martin Holley, who was removed from the Diocese of Memphis earlier this year, was criticised by another bishop, who described the show as deplorable and fake news.
Cardinal Napiers comparison of Arroyo with former Northern Ireland First Minister Ian Paisley is particularly severe.

Arroyo is one of the most devoutly Catholic people I can think of, and here he has a Cardinal calling him a Protestant as a pejorative.
Knee-jerk anti=Protestantism amongst the clergy is little more than a diversionary tactic to keep The Cabal going.
Yep. Plus this poor bishop had to endure the wrath of that scumbag Cardinal Spellman because of a food donation dispute between them. Pope Pius XII settled the matter in Sheen’s favor and Spellman swore he would get even with Sheen. And he did by transferring him to a remote Upstate NY parish after the cancellation of his TV show.
