Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Dear Heavenly Father,
How Precious,
How Wonderful,
How Lovely To Be in Your Presence!
Your Name is So Hallowed,
So Holy and Pure,
and Your Lovingkindness is From Everlasting to Everlasting!
Why Do You Love Us So,
When We Persist in Turning Away From You?
Your Love is Unsearchable,
Your Mercy Unexplainable,
Your Peace Passes Understanding!

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Leaders of Our Nation,
May They Be Inspired and Led By You,
And Please Guide Them in All Things.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Due to a very late start this morning , I didn't have a story to share. I've been battling a cold, and overslept. So after walking and feeding the dog, I sat down to my own breakfast and turned on the TV. There was a program on about an abandoned prison that was used as a set in the movie "The Shawshank Redemption", and I found it quite interesting. Originally built to reform youthful offenders, the prison later became a brutal place for adult criminals. It was so horrible that it was eventually shut down, and was scheduled to be demolished until it was chosen to be the setting for the movie.

So now it is considered an historic place, and regularly appears on TV as a haunt for unhappy ghosts.

Although the builders of modern penitentiaries and reformatories think they are creating an environment that will bring about "redemption" and "rehabilitation" for their inmates, the opposite usually happens. History is full of ambitious projects in incarceration, and the result often ends up an abandoned "haunted" ruin.

The Ancient Romans had no such ambitions in the prisons. When someone was cast into prison (without trial or even an indictment), they could expect beatings, filth, chains, stocks, and brutal violence, and lose all hope of ever seeing the light of day again.

UNLESS, you are Paul and Silas. They were subjected to all of that, and STILL sang praises to God.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance..” Psalm 33 NASB

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
