This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:16-17)

FATHER GOD,

Thank You for the wonder and miracle of CHRISTMAS! Thank You for Your great LOVE for us and Your great SACRIFICE! You sent Your only Son, JESUS CHRIST, to be the SAVIOR of the world! He won the Victory over sin and death, and all who believe in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life!

As we celebrate with family and friends and spread goodwill towards others this Christmas, help us to be ever mindful of the REASON for the SEASON. May we use this time to proclaim the SAVIOR'S birth and spread the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST.

The world tries its best to extinguish the LIGHT of CHRIST during Christmastime with holiday parties, gift buying, and competing pseudo gods like Santa Claus. Even satanic disclaimers and statues find their place next to nativity scenes in our nation's state houses. But this we know concerning JESUS: the LIGHT of CHRIST endures forever!

In the beginning the Word (Jesus) already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. (John 1:1-5)

Though we have many reasons to rejoice today, Lord, we also know CHRISTMAS can be a "not-so-merry" holiday for people who are experiencing relational, financial, spiritual and physical loss. We lift up those who yearn for prodigals to return and unsaved loved ones to know salvation; those who have estranged friends and family members; those who are alone; those who are unemployed or are grieving the loss of a loved one; those who suffer from addictions and chronic sickness, and people with unending pain and frustrations of all kinds. Pour out Your SPIRIT upon them, LORD. Draw close to them. Cause them to cast their cares upon You. Help them see that You are REASON for the SEASON. You are the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE OF PEACE in the midst of their "not-so-merry" circumstances.

Bless and protect President Trump, Vice-President Pence, and their families during the holiday season. May our President find comfort and strength as he looks to You to govern our nation. May Vice President Pence be a loyal partner to him. Thank You they both acknowledge You as their SAVIOR and the SOURCE of Strength. Grant them great favor and intervene in the affairs of our nation to bring America back to its SPIRITUAL ROOTS. Our hope and trust are in You GOD. The government is upon CHRIST'S shoulders.

Shine the light of TRUTH on those whose desire is to bring America to its knees. Expose their sinister plots and bring each and every one to JUSTICE. Protect our borders. Just as it was in the days of Nehemiah, may a border wall be erected to keep illegal aliens and our enemies from entering our sovereign nation.

Finally, LORD, grant us peace. Peace in our homes, peace in our churches, and peace in our hearts when the world all around us seems out-of-control. Help us to stay focused on You, this Christmas and always. Thank You for loving the whole world enough to send the GREATEST GIFT, Your Son.

Merry Christmas, JESUS.
