I have often seen arguments from supposed conservatives that corporations are apolitical, and only out to make money, and that any apparent leftism is just to appease the left so they will leave the poor apolitical corporations alone.

This sort of thing happens far too consistently - with the consistent result that the corporation loses business from a huge segment of the population - to support that egregiously naive position.

Corporations today are overwhelmingly leftist in ownership, management, and employment. Once leftists take over, they hire their own: political nepotism.

Agenda and ideology are of paramount importance to inveterate leftists. That is why they risk losses over and over, to promote leftism.

Mattel will lose business. They know this. The minority that will actively support this with sales are heavily outnumbered by those who actively will not, and that minority will not double or triple their sales to compensate.

See O’Sullivan’s First Law.

You’re right. Leftism is a religion. Once a Leftist is put into a position of power in a corporation, he will use all that power to promote leftism, without regard to corporate viability.

IT’S NOT THEIR MONEY. THEY DONT CARE.

When the company goes bust, they will get jobs elsewhere, hired by fellow leftists.
