Kissing Expert Archbishop Forbids Latin Mass

La Plata Archbishop Víctor Manuel Fernández, Argentina, forbad to celebrate Mass in Latin on the main altar in his archdiocese.

According to AdelanteLaFe.com, he published two decrees on December 17 and 24. The first abolishes all previous archdiocesan liturgical norms. Fernández' predecessor, Archbishop Héctor Rubén Aguer used to be excellent.

The second decree orders that any Mass must be celebrated only in the Novus Ordo, in the vernacular, and on a meal table turning the back of the priest to God. The decree contradicts Church law and is therefore invalid.

Fernández is a ghostwriter for Pope Francis. He became famous for having authored a book about the "art of kissing".

The clergy running amuck. Another sign of the rot at the top.

Bergoglio is a stealth pope. He instructs others to do his dirty work.

Good afternoon.

I must be missing something. The Bishop is forbidding a Latin Mass be celebrated?

He can also say whatever he wants because nobody is even listening. Even the choir loft is empty now...

The enemy hates Latin. Fr. Groeschel used to point this out.

Wherever a priest discourages Latin and or the rosary beware. To forbid it. Well. There’s no good reason to do so

Well, ebb, this is more like what I meant by “right-hand man.” Tucho and Bergoglio go back many decades, with deep schemes and connections in Vatican, USA, Buenos Aires, etc.

Tucho was never even mentioned in press until media woke up recently. He is more influential than Parolin. Titles are not key in holding power. Fernandez was standing by Bergoglio’s side as he was sworn in as Pope. He took over to liberalize the University in Argentina, with Cardinal Bergoglio overriding top officials thru sheer cunning. I won’t blab on here, just saying there is power of Title and of power of quiet influence.

There’s a damn (intential) good reason. This is all part of the “new paradigm” aka “hagan lio”!

Not entirely; the Tridentine (’old’) mass is ‘offered.’ The priest ‘says’ mass or ‘offers’ mass. Lay people in the church ‘assist’ at mass (’active participation’ on the spiritual, not physical, level). ‘Celebrate’ is the newer description and, arguably, incorrect.

If I’m wrong, there are a few good experts here on liturgy history whom I invite to correct me! Very few people under age 55 know these details and the reasons.

You are correct. The Holy Mass is a sacrifice, not a celebration. Nobody should celebrate the sacrifice of the Son of God on the Cross.
