To: The Ignorant Fisherman

Ignorant fishermen and rednecks definitely agree more than they disagree.

This is a straightforward list of the gifts of God bestowed on believers. Now if someone hands me a gift and I just let it sit on the table, I have made no use of it. A lot of Christians are that way. As a result, they’re joyless. They’re egotistical. They have nothing to share with you but “you’re wrong! you’re wrong!” unless it’s to gloat that they agree with some chance remark that they are typically taking in a way you don’t take it. They should be touched with ten foot poles.

I wrote a tongue-in-cheek song about Jesus — “A Humble Redneck I Was Born.” He lived in a rough, obscure part of Israel. He came from a tiny tribe of Judah. He was a manual laborer, typically walking around. He weathered tough environments without flinching.
