It's Apostasy, Not Schism Cardinal Burke
The present Church does find herself in apostasy from the Faith - not in schism, Cardinal Raymond Burke told TheWandererPress.com (January 17).
Bishops, priests and laypeople have effectively abandoned the Catholic Faith by espousing teachings and practices that are contrary to the Deposit of Faith, he added.
Burke criticises the silence of so many cardinals and bishops who should defend the Faith vocally because in the Church's tremendous confusion and growing division it can never be right to remain silent.

It doesnt seem as if those were the actual words of the Cardinal (that is, apostasy), but that was clearly what he meant. Hes the first one to say it in so many words, and I hope other people join him.
Schism would be the term if someone led a split off from the Church, although not necessarily denying the Faith, but apostasy is when someone denies the Faith entirely. In this case, it is the leaders of the Church who are doing this, all the way up to the arch-apostate, Francis. So this means that an apostate Church is essentially separating itself from the truth and from the genuine faithful who accept the Deposit of Faith.
However, I think hes actually worse than an apostate, even an apostate pope, because he thinks hes a new Messiah bringing a new religion, and that Jesus was simply his prophet.

I’d like to hear a talk by Burke on Our Lady of Good Success and how what she said would happen is unfolding exactly as she said it would.

The situation that exists is not what I would call schism, but of apostasy, a situation where prelates, priests, and laypeople have effectively abandoned the Catholic Faith by espousing teachings and practices that are contrary to the Deposit of Faith. Abandonment of the truth causes apostasy as well as tremendous suffering in the Church.

Now if he would only admit that this has been going on since the False Council and condemn the latter maybe, just maybe we’d get somewhere. I won’t hold my breath though.
