Bishop Serratelli ignores evidence of priests' active homosexuality

Editor's note: In spite of repeated requests for comment or explanation over the course of several weeks, the bishop, priests and various diocesan personnel involved in this report refused to explain the evidence of these priests' homosexual relationship or reassure Church Militant that the bishop would investigate the matter. As of press time, both priests remain in active ministry, supported by laity money.

Intimate photos of two priests in the diocese of Paterson, New Jersey reveal a homosexual relationship that sources say the local ordinary is ignoring. Church Militant obtained a series of selfies taken by the two priests, along with a screenshot of the source's email alerting Bp. Arthur Serratelli in November.

Father Dulibber G. Gonzalez and Fr. Marcin Bradtke are alleged to have been in a homosexual relationship dating to before their respective ordinations. Father Gonzalez was ordained in May of 2018, and Fr. Bradtke was ordained in May of 2016.

The string of intimate selfies were allegedly taken at Fr. Bradtke's parish in May of 2018, right after Fr. Gonzalez's ordination.

Church Militant contacted both priests, their respective pastors, the Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the diocese, the Vice-Chancellor/Priest Secretary to the bishop, the Director of Clergy Personnel and Chair of the Presbyteral Council, the Judicial Vicar, and Bp. Serratelli himself. We received no response, although shortly after contacting Fr. Gonzalez, he deleted one of his two Facebook accounts.

Father Bradtke was born in Poland and grew up there. In 2007, he entered the seminary in Kraków, earning his master's degree in 2014. He arrived in the United States sometime toward the end of 2014 and was ordained a deacon in May of 2015. As a deacon, Bradtke was assigned to St. Vincent Martyr in Madison, and after his ordaination he was assigned to Our Lady of the Lake in Sparta, his currentl assignment.

Father Gonzalez arrived in the United States at the end of 2015, studying English as a second language at Rutgers University. He lived at Bartimaeus House in Boonton while studying English at Rutgers and completed theology studies at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Connecticut in 2017. He has served as transitional deacon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Branchville, and after his priestly ordination in 2018, he was assigned to St. Anthony of Padua in Passaic.

Father Gonzalez reportedly remained at St. Anthony of Padua for only a few months and was then transferred to St. Therese in Succasunna, after his pastor discovered his relationship with Fr. Bradtke. Church Militant reached out to the pastor of St. Anthony of Padua for comment and received no response.

The selfies were sent by a source to Bp. Serratelli and several members of his administrative staff on November 21, 2018, informing him that these photos would be sent to Church Militant if nothing is done. To date, Bp. Serratelli has never responded, and both Fr. Bradtke and Fr. Gonzalez remain at their assignments in good standing with the diocese.

The source told Church Militant that Fr. Gonzalez and Fr. Bradtke continue to maintain their homosexual relationship and went on a trip together to Europe in early January. When Church Militant reached out to Fr. Gonzalez for comment on January 8, an automatic reply indicated he was on a trip and would not be returning until January 14. On Fr. Bradtke's Facebook page, he tagged himself at St. Peter's Basilica in Rome on January 7.

To date, Bp. Serratelli has never responded, and both Fr. Bradtke and Fr. Gonzalez remain at their assignments in good standing with the diocese.Tweet

In August 2018, Church Militant produced a special report titled "Episcopal Sodomy: Gay Seminarian Pipeline" revealing that Bp. Serratelli and Bp. Mansell of the diocese of Hartford, Connecticut were known to be bringing homosexual seminarians into the Church in the United States:

Former seminarians tell Church Militant that the involvement of Mansell and Serratelli in moving around gay seminarians became well known by Church officials as both these bishops had large numbers of seminarians within their dioceses, and they needed to scatter them around in different seminaries so as not to draw too much attention to their exceptionally high number when the Church in the United States was experiencing a massive drop in the numbers of seminarians.

The South American homosexual pipeline was exposed by Fr. John Lavers, hired by Holy Apostles Seminary in 2012 to investigate the matter, which led to the expulsion of multiple seminarians.

Prior to receiving an email from Church Militant inquiring about the photos, Fr. Gonzalez had maintained two Facebook accounts: One was a "public figure" account in his own name, and the other a personal page under a pseudonym.

Going by the pseudonym San Juan de Avila, while his Facebook URL contains his true name (www.facebook.com/dulibber.gonzalez), Fr. Gonzalez appears to be a normal priest. While he himself is not Facebook friends with Fr. Bradtke, both his mother and his brother are (his brother's musical preferences include groups that use satanic imagery, including a band called "Blasphemer Priest").

Canon 277 of the Code of Canon Law states:

Clerics are obliged to observe perfect and perpetual continence for the sake of the kingdom of heaven and therefore are bound to celibacy which is a special gift of God by which sacred ministers can adhere more easily to Christ with an undivided heart and are able to dedicate themselves more freely to the service of God and humanity.

It is a clear violation of this aspect of canon law for priests to engage in homosexual behavior. It is worse that Bp. Serratelli turns a blind eye and allows these priests to continue to lead double lives, supported financially by laity and remaining in charge of their respective parishes.

the bishop and his vicars do not report to Voris, so why is he surprised. I’m sure Bishop Serratelli will put an end to this.

Well Serratelli has known about these homos since November 21, 2018; and, to date, has taken no action against them.

it’s only been 2 months, how do you know what he did? I guess you want them fired and never to return? I don’t think that’s going to happen. I’m sure the bishop put a stop to it.
