OR: if the Mass is flat-out invalid (the padre adlibs the Canon or is tryna concelebrate with some addled priestess or making as if to consecrate Doritos and Diet Pepsi.)
Not liking the choir, the priest or the sermon is not a sufficient reason; and if you could have seen it coming you should have made provision to drive 30 minutes to an hour,if necessary, to assist at Mass in a different diocese.
I admit I have an unfair advantage in that I have a hearing disability, and can easily tune out any sapsucker sermonizing and dwell in my own edifying thoughts.
However,you can achieve the same with hearing protectors/ industrial earplugs. $10 and you're set for a lifetime.
You owe it to the Lord. If you can't rejoice in Him you can at least commiserate with Him.
And give your Catholic Charitable dollars to Church Militant or the Lepanto Institute or your favorite cranky trad.

I am dead serious. When the Lord rescues His church, He's going to want to see you in the ranks of the Resistance, not with the comfort-seekers, the AWOLs and defectors.
I will attend-assist the nouveau mess under no circumstance, as the Vatican liturgy schismed from the true Church (SSPX et. al.) somewhere in the 60s-70s. I will not assist at a schismatic/hoax/faux Mass. Unfortunately, it is you and other compliant sheeple (you defended this poop of a pope for several years until you wised up) who are pleasing the devil by assisting at his deceitful liturgy: His greatest triumph against the Church of all time. The rotten homilies I read about nowadays are just a rotten desert in the middle of a rotten Vatican II meal.
Since I can’t always make it to the Tridentine Mass because of its sparse scheduling and the fact I am frequently ill — The Rosary is filling an increasing role for me. No more Byzantine Mass offered here, either.

I am in the resistance — the resistance against Lucifer’s false liturgy and kick-off of the End Times. This should please The Lord greatly.
P.S. I actually tried to sit through (no kneeling!) the contemporary Mass a couple of times but stormed out part way through — including at my wife’s very recent Memorial Mass (I didn’t arrange it — someone else did — I
planned an authentic Mass later). Missed the buffet afterward also. They still wanted to charge me for it but they’re still waiting on the payment.
