I think part of this rebuild issue is that there probably aren’t more than a dozen master-master craftsmen in the world with the skills that people had in the 1163.
As a kid in rural Alabama, we had one older gentleman who had his families older farm, and a barn of a unique design (built in the 1880s). Carpenters came miles around to admire the design and look of the barn. All of those skills diminished in the past hundred years. Barn no longer stands today because of termite issues.
