I disagree. The worst were the communists. The Turks treated Christians as second classs citizens but did not dehumanize them. The communists did. Christian children were sometimes lobotomized. Pastors were arrested and killed. Turks did none of that.
So the Turks just treated Christians as “second class citizens”?
A few hundred thousand dead Armenian Christians would disagree with that.
To oust the Communists it took two generations and a populace and military who had finally had enough of rule by an evil dwarf and his mate. Ridding themselves of what amounted to slavery under Ottoman Pashas took centuries.
