signed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, is "In God We Trust". The phrase first
appeared on U.S. coins in 1864.

GOD BLESS AMERICA is our National Motto.Only since 1956. Eisenhower pushed it through to get the John Birchers off his back. It does not go back to the founding.
